And what better way than to enjoy an evening filled with friends\, old and new\, while raising awareness and funds for children with pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID)?\nFeeding Matters proudly announces its third annual Feed the Cause: An Arizona Signature Event Supporting Pediatric Feeding Disorder. Join us on Saturday\, October 11th\, from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at Papago Golf Club for an unforgettable evening filled with comfort\, storytelling\, local chef demos\, and a silent auction!\nFounded in 2006 by Shannon Goldwater\, Feeding Matters has fervently partnered with families and healthcare professionals to promote awareness and understanding of PFD and ARFID. These conditions significantly affect a child’s ability to eat\, drink\, or digest food\, impacting their health and development. For these children\, eating\, drinking\, and swallowing can be painful and frightening\, affecting their behavioral\, physical\, and emotional well-being. However\, there remains a critical gap in the care system for pediatric feeding disorders\, both locally and globally.\nWe often hear from parents like this one: “Feeding disorders are widely misunderstood and dismissed medically and culturally\, and having true resources for parents seeking understanding on their journey is validating and life affirming. I feel seen and educated at the same time.”
