SUMMARY:10th Annual Mitten Kitten Mash Up
DESCRIPTION:Lansing Roller Derby and Greater Lansing Sports Authority are pleased to announce the 10th annual Mitten Kitten Mash-Up tournament will be held October 13-15th at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing\, Michigan. The annual celebration and showcase of flat track roller derby features a collection of tournaments: 2 Divisions of the state’s best adult teams\, a tournament of state’s teams\, and more bonus fun juniors’ derby teams from Michigan. \n“Roller derby has become a staple sport in the state of Michigan\,” said GLSA Executive Director Mike Price. “This tournament gives these competitive Michigan teams a chance to battle for the coveted State Title in the capital city\, making for a great weekend of competition and fun.” \nThe Mitten Kitten Mash-Up is back with Michigan statewide WFTDA rules roller derby Championships on two tracks over 3 days! We have 16 teams fighting across 2 divisions that will end up in two 8-team brackets to determine D1 and D2 Champs for 2023 the 2nd weekend in October. In addition\, we’ll have a Sunday afternoon all-star Juniors expo and a weekend long 5-team States tournament welcoming in Team Ohio\, Team Indiana\, Team Wisconsin and Team Maryland! \n“Roller derby is family friendly and many of the attendees are families of the skaters\,” said event organizer Constance Snelling. “Typically\, adult skater ages range from 18-45 and junior skaters range from 7-17. We’re proud to say the event has a charitable affiliation and we continue our great work partnering with the It’s a Breast Thing\, an organization that aims to enhance the lives of breast cancer patients through financial grants and support survivors and families.” \nOnline presale tickets are available here https://ticketstripe.com/Mitten-Kitten-2023?fbclid=IwAR1Gei2XblZjyc04qgvkkSsny77rHkOb7Kj1gWnbI_5Z1oQJIok_Mq0PKQM&mibextid=Zxz2cZ# \nPresale pricing is $18 for one day\, $30 for Friday and Saturday\, or $40 for the whole weekend.
