DESCRIPTION:Trinity Episcopal Church and Friends of Music announce the annual Music of Holy Week concert presented by Exultate Deo. Exultate Deo is a choir made up of talented singers from the Great Lakes Bay Region who sing in 4 concerts a year. This is a wonderful way to begin the observance of Holy Week leading up to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Members of the choir come from the Thumb\, Saginaw\, Bay City\, Midland\, and elsewhere to sing. We are delighted to present this concert to you!!!

DESCRIPTION:February 17th is Shrove Tuesday\, the day when traditionally cooks got rid of their “fancy” foods like cakes\, cookies\, yeast-filled items\, etc.\, because the next day—Ash Wednesday—began the season of Lent and none of that was allowed. It’s now become a tradition in some churches to serve a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday to mark the old tradition. SUMMARY:Music of Holy Week
DESCRIPTION:Trinity would like to invite everyone to the Music of Holy Week presented by Exultate Deo on Palm Sunday\, April 13th at 4:00 pm at Trinity\, Center at Grant\, Bay City. The concert traces Christ’s journey from his entrance into Jerusalem on a donkey to his crucifixion on Good Friday to his glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday. The audience will get a chance to sing some of the familiar hymns including “Jesus Christ is Risen Today”. There will be some readings and some glorious music. A free will offering will be taken and a reception will follow. \nExultate Deo is a group of musicians from the Great Lakes Bay region who love to sing. Founded by the late Robert Sabourin the choir performs at least 3 times a year at Christmas and Easter and the Bay Area Fireworks festival. Our conductor is Rayechel Berger and our accompanist is Patrick Winningham.
