Bio for Dr. Randy Carlson
Dr. Randy is the Chairman of Intentional Life Media and is the founder of Intentional Living (Parent Talk, Inc.). His passion is to help people experience life as God intended.
He has written or coauthored seven books: Starved for Affection, Unlocking the Secrets of Your Childhood Memories, Parent Talk, Father Memories, The Cain & Abel Syndrome, The Power of One Thing and his most recent, Freedom from Hijacked Emotions – Overcoming Anxiety, Anger, and Fear.
Dr. Randy has a doctorate in Counseling Psychology with a research emphasis on the leadership traits of successful family business owners and leaders. He has taught and consulted with hundreds of family business owners around the country.
He is a licensed marriage and family counselor with a doctorate in counseling psychology and over thirty years of counseling experience. He shares wisdom, encouragement and comfort from God’s Word with people who call in to his daily syndicated Intentional Living program and Podcast where he offers biblical help for living an intentional life in Christ. He has appeared on national radio and television shows such as Good Morning America and Focus on the Family. He also speaks at conferences and seminars around the country.
Dr. Carlson and his wife, Donna, have three grown children and eight grandchildren and reside in Tucson, Arizona. Randy and Donna share a deep commitment to each other, to their family, and to helping others live an intentional life in Christ.
Bio for Evan Carlson
Evan Carlson is the CEO and President of Intentional Life Media. Growing up in a ministry home, Evan saw firsthand what it means to sacrificially serve in a faith based nonprofit organization and has developed a strong heart for helping people experience hope in Christ. The ministry was founded over 55 years ago by Evan’s grandfather, Warren Bolthouse, and was later led, for multiple decades, by his father, Dr. Randy Carlson. Evan has an MBA from Grand Canyon University and has served in several different roles at Family Life Radio, including as Vice President of Marketing and as Executive Vice President. Evan and his wife, Kelly along with their two daughters, live in Tucson Arizona which is home to the Family Life Radio ministry headquarters.
