Still Standing Each Morning
Each morning brings an invitation to begin again as you place your heart back into the hands of Jesus and receive the strength He faithfully provides for the day ahead.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.”
— Psalm 28:7 NKJV
Morning can feel heavy when grief has reshaped your life. And yet, morning can also become a sacred place where you return again to the One who carries you. Roberta from New Mexico begins her day that way.
As she gets ready for work, she turns on Family Life Radio and places her heart before God. “I listen to the station every morning as I get ready for work.” That daily choice anchors her. It gives her a place to breathe, to listen, and to draw strength before the day asks anything of her.
With each morning, you have a fresh invitation to begin again by placing your heart back into the hands of Jesus.
Roberta has walked through profound loss. She shared that she had three sons, and all three have passed away. And still—her life remains in Jesus.
“Having faith in Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior and listening to Family Life Radio gives me peace, strength, and joy to press on.”
She lives Psalm 28:7. Jesus has become her strength. Her heart continues to trust. And help continues to come, not all at once, but just enough for today.
His strength doesn’t erase the grief, but carries you through it. Jesus can help you learn how to allow joy to exist alongside sorrow. Trusting Him helps you rise again, morning after morning.
If today feels heavy, bring it to Jesus at the start. Let Him meet you before the world does. He knows what your heart carries, and He gives whatever you need for this day—and the next step forward.
Today’s One Thing
Tomorrow morning, before anything else, take five quiet minutes with God. Ask Him for the strength you’ll need today. Trust Him to meet you there.
